"Stara Zagora"

The Cultural Center “Stara Zagora” is located in the building of the former House of Culture. In 2019, the Municipality of Stara Zagora carried out a complete modernization and renovation of the cultural facility, originally constructed in 1979. After the extensive renovation, the building transformed into a multifunctional cultural center for events with aesthetic, cultural-educational, informative, and practical purposes.

The modern facility is strategically situated in the most vibrant part of the city, with unique access to the pedestrian zone. The fully renovated auditorium is equipped with high-class technical equipment—including lighting, sound, and stage technology—and offers 521 seats. On the ground level, there are 214 seats with a system that allows for the horizontal part of the hall to be cleared, ensuring accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges. The balcony accommodates 252 amphitheatrical – style arranged seats.

The spacious foyers with panoramic staircases provide additional spaces for presentations, conferences, permanent and temporary exhibitions, and the establishment of information corners. The large ceramic panels by the renowned artist and sculptor Lyuben Pashkulski create a pleasant atmosphere for both the audience and performers.

The Cultural Center “Stara Zagora” is a welcoming host to theatrical performances and concerts from Bulgarian and global cultural scenes, festival days, film screenings, and serves as an attractive venue for avant-garde creative models and innovative artistic solutions.
